Children and Families Executive

The Children and Families Executive Group is a multi agency partnership group and responsible for the delivery of the Children and Families outcome theme in Pembrokeshire's Single Integrated Plan. The group is currently comprised of representatives from Pembrokeshire County Council, Hywel Dda Health Board, Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services, Communities First and Dyfed-Powys Police.

The group meets on a bi-monthly basis and is chaired by the local authority's Director for Children and Schools. Its key duties are to:

  • Work in partnership to improve outcomes for children, young people and      families in Pembrokeshire
  • Have oversight of the development of effective multi agency action plans which add value and deliver the key priority work streams of the Single Integrated Plan
  • Report to the Local Service Board on the delivery of action plans and evidence the impact of partnership working as required
  • Provide strategic oversight of the delivery of Welsh Government grant funded programmes e.g. Families First, Flying Start
  • Consider opportunities for closer collaboration and joint commissioning of services between partners wherever appropriate, including regional working

The group reports directly to Pembrokeshire's Local Service Board.
