Children & Youth

The Children and Youth Network has been set up to bring together organisations who work with children and young people, with the intention of disseminating information, sharing best practice and facilitating informal partnerships between voluntary sector service providers. The network also exists to liaise with statutory partners to better realise positive outcomes for young people. The network currently meets 4 times a year although this schedule is under review.

The network is co-ordinated by Lee Hind, Lee Hindthe 3rd Sector Children and Young People's Partnership Link Officer, based in PAVS. Lee has held this post since its inception in July 2003 having previously been a Community Development Worker, Youth Worker and Volunteer Workshop Worker for a variety of voluntary organisations in Pembrokeshire. Lee has led work on participation in decision making by children and young people whilst in post and continues to deliver youth work on a sessional basis sometimes utilising his hobby of DJ’ing to engage with young people.

See here for a recent Newsletter of the Network and here for an example of work done by the Network's member groups.
