Core Aim 3 Group

The Welsh Assembly Government has created 7 Core Aims that govern how services are delivered to children and young people. Pembrokeshire's Children and Young People's Partnership have created a group to cover each of these Core Aims and to deliver services against them.

Core Aim 3 is that "All children and young peopleenjoy the best possible health and are free from abuse, victimisation and exploitation"

Pembrokeshire has agreed 3 broad priorities in this area. They are:

  • Strong partnership working, coordinated by the Pembrokeshire Local Safeguarding Children Board, will ensure that children are safeguarded
  • Coordinated services to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people linked to their welfare and relationships
  • Strong partnership working in regard to health priorities within the Health, Social Care and Wellbeing strategy which are service delivery in partnership and supporting people to be as healthy as possible.

The Core Aim group has worked on an action plan for each priority and these will begin to be delivered from 31.10.08
